Excellent Job! Education and collaboration in an environment of mutual respect on a shared interest is the key to making global changes. Nowhere is this a more critical than in child welfare. Kathleen, I deeply appreciate the work you (and all of the committed members of CCAI) are doing on behalf of vulnerable children worldwide.

Wonderful to read about their visit to the US. I hope and pray they can reform their adoption system and implement changes that protect children, biological families and adoptive families. I’ll be the first in line to adopt again from Guatemala once it re-opens!

Thank you for a wonderful post, Kathleen, and for the work you and CCAI are doing to provide services and permanency options for all children who need loving, parental care, worldwide. I only hope that those children, still in the adoption process in Guatemala after more than 5 years, will be united with the families who wait for them and hold them in their hearts. I only hope that the many children in Guatemala who need sustenance, love, and opportunity, will get the help they need to thrive and develop to their full potential, either through domestic or intercountry adoption or family support. All options should be pursued concurrently, so that children will get help as early in their lives as possible.

Thanks for all you are doing while our family “waits” for Cristian. Guatemala has alot of love to give to ALL of it’s children and with a modern system it could be a wonderful reality for them.
